NYC Family Dance Party to Support Single Moms of Brooklyn

The Mommy Archives is organizing a Family Dance Party on Sunday, November 8, from 3–6 PM at Moxy Williamsburg, aiming to bring over 200 NYC parents and children together for an afternoon of music, dancing, and family-friendly activities. Net proceeds from the event will benefit Single Moms of Brooklyn, while family brand Nuna will donate $5,000 worth of products to Room to Grow. The event underscores The Mommy Archives' mission of building community for NYC parents and supporting organizations that serve families across the city.

Single Moms of Brooklyn is a local initiative that empowers single mothers by providing emotional support, community, and resources. Room to Grow is a nonprofit that works with families experiencing poverty during the critical first three years of a child's life. Both organizations have personal significance for Jules Ferdowsi, founder of The Mommy Archives, who is a solo parent and a member of Single Moms of Brooklyn.

“I wanted this event to be more than just a fun afternoon for families,” Ferdowsi said. “Community is at the heart of everything we do at The Mommy Archives, and I know firsthand how important it is for parents to have a community they can turn to. It was important to me that bringing families together could also directly support other parents and children. Single Moms of Brooklyn is especially meaningful to me personally as a member of the organization, and I'm excited to be able to give back to a community that has meant so much to me.”

The event's impact extends beyond ticket sales. Nuna's $5,000 product donation to Room to Grow will support families in need, while Moxy Williamsburg is providing its Bar Bedford Garden as the venue. The afternoon will feature a DJ, photo booth, face painting, crafts, glitter tattoos, games, and other activities designed to foster connection among NYC families.

Tickets for the Family Dance Party are available at https://luma.com/l3d94eee. The Mommy Archives, founded by Ferdowsi, connects over 4,400 NYC families through events, partnerships, and resources, with a presence on Instagram, WhatsApp, and its newsletter.
