City Pass, Inc. has announced significant upgrades to the New York CityPASS® program, introducing a fully flexible format, two new attractions, and a price reduction. The changes, effective immediately, are designed to give travelers more control over their New York experience while maintaining the convenience and savings that have defined CityPASS for nearly 30 years.
The New York CityPASS ticket now allows visitors to choose any five attractions from a curated list of 10 premier experiences. The expanded lineup includes two new additions: Edge Observation Deck & Immersive Experience and the Whitney Museum of American Art. These join existing attractions such as the Empire State Building Observation Deck, American Museum of Natural History, Top of the Rock® Observation Deck, 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Statue of Liberty Grounds and Ellis Island Official Ferry, Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises, Intrepid Museum, and Guggenheim Museum.
Alongside the added flexibility, the ticket price has been reduced. Adult pricing drops from $164 to $149, while child pricing decreases from $136 to $129. Advertised savings now reach as much as 51% compared to combined admission prices. “These updates give travelers more control over how they experience New York,” said Megan Allen, president and CEO of City Pass, Inc. “By moving to a fully flexible format, adding new attractions and lowering the ticket price, New York CityPASS tickets offer even greater value and make it easier than ever for visitors to build the New York experience that’s right for them.”
Edge Observation Deck & Immersive Experience, located at Hudson Yards, is the highest indoor and outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, suspended more than 1,100 feet above Manhattan. It features a glass floor, angled glass walls, and 360-degree views. A recent indoor transformation has added immersive installations, including NYC’s largest kaleidoscope, the Pulse infinity room with 450 glowing orbs, and a canopy of giant colorful crystals in the Crystal Cave. The Whitney Museum of American Art, in the Meatpacking District, houses a renowned collection of 20th- and 21st-century American art, with works by Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Andy Warhol. Its outdoor terraces overlook the Hudson River and the High Line.
The tickets remain valid for nine consecutive days from first use, allowing travelers to explore at their own pace. Digital tickets are delivered via email and linked to the My CityPASS app, which provides access to tickets, reservation management, attraction details, directions, and entry instructions. The app also offers notifications, special offers, and trip-planning information.
